The Golden Loaf
The Golden Loaf is a bed and breakfast located along the eastern border of the Common District. It is owned and run by Midge Hartkis, who moved to Keskus from Red Bute after her husband died in prison on charges of tax evasion. The establishment’s sign bears the picture of a gold coin embedded in the top of a loaf of bread. Midge is perhaps better known for the small bakery she runs out of the bed and breakfast, in which she hides a silver coin in a single freshly baked loaf of bread each day.
In addition to its proprietor, the Golden Loaf employs three halfling serving girls and a old grisled dwarf as its cook. The bed and breakfast has five rooms available for guests, but can accommodate as many as two dozen individuals for meals.
